Special Educational Needs and Disability
We provide an environment in which children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are supported to reach their full potential.
Our LOCAL OFFER sets out what support and services are available for children with special educational needs and disabilities who attend Jenny Wren Nursery. We provide an environment in which all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), are supported to reach their full potential.
Our local offer sets out, in one place, what support and services are available for children with special educational needs and disabilities who attend our Nursery School.
If you are concerned that your child may have difficulties with learning, please ask to speak to your child’s Key Person and the Nursery Manager.
We also have two designated members of staff who fulfil the role of Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO) and Deputy SENCO. Our SENCO Katy Elliott and our Deputy SENCO Isobel Rouse are both trained in provision and support for children with additional needs and attend regular hub meetings to continue professional development within this area.
We also work closely with outside agencies such as ISEND to ensure that individual needs are met to the best of our abilities.
